What skills will define the future of advanced manufacturing?

Together with The Gordon TAFE, City of Greater Geelong, Geelong Manufacturing Council, Geelong Tech School and Skilling the Bay, and with support from the Victorian Government, Anvarta delivered the Advanced Manufacturing Training Needs Analysis 2023.

This report provides a roadmap for building the workforce of tomorrow. Three key insights stand out:
1️⃣ It’s not just about tech—it’s about business.
Manufacturers face three hurdles in the clean economy transition: the high cost of new tech, proving ROI for green initiatives, and cultural resistance to change.
2️⃣ A dual skillset is essential.
Future success requires blending deep technical expertise (renewables, circular economy) with transferable skills (data-driven decisions, change management, collaboration).

3️⃣ Upskilling leaders is critical.
Middle and senior managers must be equipped through flexible training—like micro-credentials and short courses—to implement change effectively.

👉 At Anvarta, we help organizations act on these insights—turning capability gaps into capability gains.
