We live in a world where upgrading feels easier than repairing. But every time we choose to fix rather than replace, we extend the story of the things we own—and reduce waste that would otherwise end up in landfill.
A repaired phone, appliance, or garment not only saves money; it directly cuts the carbon footprint of new manufacturing. Small decisions add up.
We need to be aware that, we need to make repair more accessible, as the shift really begins with everyday choices and those choices should not be too difficult. Having repair as a costly choice as it now prevails for some products is a key challenge to overcome here.

Imagine a future where repair centres are as common as cafés, where spare parts are easy to find, and where products are designed to be fixed—not thrown away. That future starts with valuing what we already have.
We, as circular economy practitioners, strive to make ‘repair” seen as a viable choice by manufacturers as well as public and make those work and accessible.
